Turbocharged $3000 contingency boost for the Rotorg33k team at Sydney Jambo.

A wise man once said, “It doesn’t matter whether you win by an inch or a mile, winning’s winning.” Well it might have been closer to an inch at the Just Car Insurance Sydney Jamboree presented by Garrett Turbochargers, but Sydney racer and driver of the ETZV8S RX-3 Coupe, Daniel Ruggier, couldn’t be happier with his new Garrett turbo.

With reaction times some drivers would kill for, Daniel was the best on the tree during eliminations by just 0.036sec from the winners of Street Compact, Street 289, Modified Compact and Modified 10.5 racing categories. His race car has used a Garrett GT4202R Turbocharger to good effect for the past few seasons running fast consistent passes and going to a number of final round performances – a testament to the reliability and quality of the Garrett product.

For his stellar performance Daniel was presented with a turbocharger of his choice as well as Garrett merchandise for his family and crew to the value of $3000. Daniel eagerly chose a Garrett GTW3884R turbocharger to add to his RX-2 street car project. Congratulations Daniel!

Garrett Turbochargers is proud to support the Just Car Insurance Jamboree Series for 2016 by offering a contingency prize at each of the three events, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Honeywell Turbo Technologies/Garrett - Jamboree 2016 “Reaction Time” contingency prizes will also be on offer at both Brisbane and Melbourne Jamboree 2016.

The Contingency prize winner will be the winner of one of the following race categories; Street Compact, Street 289, Modified Compact, Modified 10.5 that has the fastest reaction time recorded during racing (eliminations). The winner must present their timecard to verify the time recorded. The winner must be running a Garrett Turbocharger at the event (as verified by a Garrett representative at the conclusion of the event), together with an unaltered Garrett decal (available from Jamboree Officials on race day) clearly displayed on each side of the race vehicle in order for the prize to be claimed.  In the event of their being two or more category winners whose best recorded reaction times in racing are identical, the entrant who recorded that reaction time first will be declared the winner. The contingency prize can only be won once in a calendar year by an individual racer.
