"This is a show that we love to be at because this is where we see some unique cars we don't normally see," Shannons Insurance Business Development Manager (Queensland), Philip Ross, said.

"At a lot of the shows we do we aren't seeing some of the Mazda RX3s and RX7s and these cars are becoming very valuable now.

"The weather wasn't looking that great ahead of the weekend so we were worried people wouldn't come out, but we were really blown away by how many cars did turn out – there were nearly 100 cars and the quality was fantastic – they really are a credit to their owners, some of them are better now than when they were new!

"There has been such a great variety as well, we have had a bit of everything including a 1956 VW Beetle that was a 1956 Olympic Games commemorative car – I have been doing this 18 years and I had never seen that car before.

"We have been really impressed by what we have seen here at the Brisbane Jamboree. We hope to see all of these guys and girls and a whole lot more here next year!"
