EXTREME
Class Designations: EX preceded by car number.
The Extreme class is run on a DYO (dial your own) system at this stage. It is designed for dragsters and altereds using a 4-cylinder or EFI 6-cylinder or V8 turbo or EFI 2-rotor or EFI 3-rotor or EFI 4-rotor engines. Sedans vehicles are permitted but are limited to running aa V8 Turbocharged engine and must run 9.99sec or quicker. Other vehicles may be permitted at the discretion of The Jamboree AUS Pty Ltd. Full tube chassis permitted. Maximum of 2 power adders allowed. All vehicles must have a current Tech Inspection subject to track Sanctioning Body - ANDRA or IHRA and meet Safety requirements for vehicles running 10.99 sec and quicker as a minimum and meet the Safety requirements for the performance of the vehicle based on the track Sanctioning body.
CLASS REGULATIONS
Engine
Engine: Must be an automotive or motorcycle type engine. Any engine modification permitted. Maximum of 2 power adders allowed. Refer track Sanctioning Body General Regulations - ANDRA or IHRA
Accepted engines: - 4 Cylinder
6 Cylinder (must be EFI)
V8 (must be turbo)
2, 3 or 4 Rotor (must be EFI)
Exhaust: Open exhaust permitted except where prohibited by track rules. All exhaust outlets must terminate below the centre line of the front wheel and be directed to the rear. Fuel/Fuel System: All classes restricted to alcohol, diesel, pump or racing petrol only. Refer track Sanctioning Body General Regulations - ANDRA or IHRA
Induction: Carburettors and or Mechanical injection only permitted on 4 cylinder engines. Rotaries, 6 cylinder and V8 engines must use Electronic Fuel Injection and turbo.

Liquid Overflow: Required. Refer track Sanctioning Body General Regulations - ANDRA or IHRA
Lower Engine Containment Device: Required on all piston engine vehicles using power adders quicker than 9.00 sec on the ¼ mile. Refer track Sanctioning Body General Regulations - ANDRA or IHRA

Driveline

Driveline: Drive-shaft loop required on all vehicles. Refer track Sanctioning Body General Regulations - ANDRA or IHRA
Flywheel: Refer track Sanctioning Body General Regulations - ANDRA or IHRA
Flywheel Shield: Required on all Manual transmission equipped vehicles. Refer track Sanctioning Body General Regulations - ANDRA or IHRA
Rear Axle: Spools permitted. All supercharged or Turbocharged vehicles quicker than 7.50 sec are required to use fully floating rear hubs. Refer track Sanctioning Body General Regulations - ANDRA or IHRA
Transmissions: Any transmission permitted. Automated, timer-type, electric, electronic, hydraulic, etc. shifting mechanism prohibited; each shift must be a function of the driver and controlled manually or pneumatically. Each vehicle in this section must have some positive means of disengaging the engine from the final drive, and an operative reverse gear is required. Trans brakes permitted. Brakes & Suspension

Steering: Aftermarket steering gear permitted. On rear engine vehicles a collar or pin must be used to prevent the steering shaft from injuring the driver in case of a frontal impact. Refer track Sanctioning Body General Regulations - ANDRA or IHRA
Suspension: Any type of automotive suspension is permitted. Solid rear ends permitted on dragsters and altereds. Suspension systems using a single shock absorber per axle are permitted on dragsters and altereds. Sedans must have one working shock absorber/strut per wheel with minimum travel of 25mm. Solid front ends allowed on dragsters and altereds with wheelbase of 2921mm (115 inches) or more or vehicle weighing less than 362.9 kg (800lbs). Solid rear ends permitted on dragsters and altereds. Wheelie Bars: Permitted. Maximum length 75 inches (1,905mm) from rear bumper on sedan cars. Any adjustability during run prohibited, must be fixed during run. Hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, etc. prohibited. Wheelie-bar wheels must spin free at the starting line before launch. Any preload prohibited.
Body and Chassis
Airfoils / Wings / Spoilers: Permitted. Airfoils / Wings / Spoilers may NOT be wider than the widest part of the vehicle. Any movement or adjustment during a run is NOT permitted.
Body: Any automotive or light truck body permitted. All bodies must be painted and in good cosmetic condition. Mild customising allowed. Must retain full-bodied size & appearance, with minimum 2 functional doors. Lightweight body panels permitted. One-piece front clips permitted. Maximum front overhang 45 inches (1143mm) measured from front most part of vehicle to the centre of front axle.
DRAGSTER and ALTERED

SEDANS
Chassis: Full tube chassis permitted. Refer track Sanctioning Body General Regulations - ANDRA or IHRA
Wheelbase: Must retain original wheelbase of vehicle plus 10 inches (254mm) maximum or minus 2 inches (50.8mm) maximum. Maximum wheelbase variation from left to right is 1 inch (25.4mm).
Windshield/Windows: May be replaced with lexan or plexiglass with a minimum thickness of 3mm.
Wheels & Tyres
Tyres: Racing slicks permitted. Retreads or space saver spares prohibited. Refer track Sanctioning Body General Regulations - ANDRA or IHRA
Wheels: Must be suitable for street or racing use Each wheel stud must protrude past the outer face of the wheel by a distance no less than the diameter of the stud used. All vehicles must be fitted with open ended wheel nuts. Use of temporary replacement wheels and or rims i.e. space savers are prohibited. Interior

General
Sponsor Decals: All racers must display the class sponsor decals on both sides of the race vehicle at all times during the event. Decals must be in a prominent location, clearly visible as required by The Jamboree AUS Pty Ltd. Failure to do so will forfeit any prize purse posted and may lead to disqualification.
Tow Vehicles: Permitted. The driver of the tow vehicle must be in the vehicle at all times while in the staging lanes and startline area. All persons in tow vehicle must be fully inside the vehicle while in motion. No arms, legs or any part of a person’s body may hang out from the tow vehicle while in motion.
